Wednesday afternoon at the skatepark

OK, we spent another Wednesday afternoon after school at the skatepark. I surprised the boys and had their bikes and skateboards in the truck when I picked them up from school. They knew that I might have their bikes but not the skateboards so they were super excited! We all had a ton of fun being silly with each other. I love being a Mom, I am so very blessed!

Our little Princess

This post is mainly for Scott....Emma-Grace is such a daddy's girl! She asked me to take some pictures of her for her daddy and this is what we got. She just had to have the crystal door knob in the picture! She is a ham....Enjoy!!!!

Kurt's Football Practice

Kurt and Erik had their first football practice yesterday. I was only able to take pictures of Kurt this time because they had Erik to far away from where I was with Emma and I didn't want to take her all the way out onto the field. Anyway, Kurt did AWESOME! The boys both love football so this is a great thing for them and it keeps them busy. We all know how important that is right now. Enjoy the pictures and the video. I'll get Erik on Thursday at practice and post more pictures then.

Fun afternoon at the Skate Park

The boys are really into skateboarding right now, so yesterday after school we stopped by the skatepark on the way home and they had a blast. Emma grace loves going and sliding down the ramps on her bottom. They all had a blast! I'm not sure why the video of Kurt and Erik is sideways, sorry.....

Emma-Grace's First Day of Pre-School

Emma-Grace started pre-school today and LOVED it!!! She's been asking for a long time to go and I wasn't ready but I finally gave in. She's only going twice a week for full days so it's not too bad. As you can see in the pictures she was so happy, when I picked her up she had changed her clothes (she had an accident) and had taken her pig tails out. I missed her terribly but the FRG kept me really busy while she was at school. I can't believe she'll be starting kindergarten next year and all the kids will be at the same school. Kurt will be in the 5th grade and Erik will be in 3rd!! They grow up way to fast!!! Enjoy every second!!!!!!!!!!!

Saying Goodbye to Daddy

So, yesterday was a roller coaster of emotions that's for sure! We spent the day with Scott, had a great dinner at home, and had prayer time (which was very emotional). Emma-Grace as you can see in the pictures pretty much cried all day off and on. We spent about 4 hours at Scott's work just hanging with Daddy, we left before the buses got there to take him away because the kids were just having a really hard time saying goodbye as it was and for them to see him leave on that bus would have sent them over the edge. We miss him so much already. Please keep Scott and all of our Service Men and Women in your prayers.

Emma-Grace's Special time with Daddy

Yesterday, we took Emma-Grace to do her special thing with Daddy. They built a build-a-bear together and Scott recorded a message to put in the bear for her. We totally forgot the camera so we took some pictures once we got home. Emma is already so attached to the bear, I'm afraid the battery will run out on the voice recorder before Scott even makes it back for mid-tour leave. The bear is helping her to cope with Scott being gone, as she misses her Daddy so much already.

Camping with the Family...What a great weekend!!

We went camping out on the North Shore this weekend and had a wonderful time. After we got all set up we kayaked out to a little island across from where we camped called "Goat Island" (no, there were not goats on the island). The water was pretty rough so it was hard to get there but once we did it was so worth it. Scott and Erik found a Puffer Fish in trouble and saved it (I inculded the video for you). The kids did great, except Emma did not like having dirty feet so that was a little bit of an issue but we made it through. It was so much fun!!! Enjoy!

Mom's Special Time with Daddy

Scott and I had our "special" time together last night. Emma-Grace spent the night at my girlfriends house and the boys stayed at our Pastor's house, and Scott and I went out to dinner and spent the evening in Waikiki with some friends. We ate at our favorite restaurant then we met up with our friends downtown. It was great to have some alone time with each other although we missed the kids terribly. Soon I'll be posting some pictures of our upcoming camping adventure and Emma-Grace's Special time with Daddy. So, keep checking back.....

Erik's Special Time with Daddy

Erik's wanted to go snorkling with Scott at Shark's Cove. It's the first time that Erik actually used the snorkle and the fins. He normally just uses the mask and holds his breath. Scott said it was the best snorkling he's done since getting here. He and Erik had such a great time together. After snorkling they stopped and got a shaved ice on their way home. Their "special" day was full of wonderful mermories. I'd have to say that so far leading up to Scott's deployment, Erik is having the hardest time out of the 3 of them. So, please continue to keep them in your prayers.

Kurt's Special Time with Daddy

Each one of the kids got to choose a special thing they wanted to do with Scott before he leaves for Iraq. These are pictures of Kurt's "special" day with daddy. He wanted to go deep sea fishing, Scott was able to take him out on Thursday and they had a blast! It's been really important for Scott to do something special alone with each of the kids. They need that special memory of that time with him before he leaves. Kurt caught 3 fish as you can see in the picture, he was so proud! I'll be posting a few different blogs today, trying to catch up. Enjoy!

Daddy's Little Girl

Today Emma-Grace waited all day for Scott to come home so she could have a "special" dance with her daddy. She practiced all day (even forced her brothers to practice with her) and was so excited when Scott came home. She is such a Daddy's girl and will miss him terribly when he leaves for Iraq. Enjoy the pictures and video.

Sunday Fun

After church today we went to buy some flowers to plant in a little wagon I got for the front yard. While Scott planted the flowers for me the kids enjoyed climbing the Plumeria Tree in our front yard. We have enjoyed another beautiful Hawaii day! We are truly blessed!
